Is this character an OC or AU set in a canon world? If so, which canon?: Yuna is taken from the Final Fantasy X canon.
Character's background (their past and present, including applicable events in other games you may have played them in):
Yuna is the savior of her world, she has fought gods and machines set on destroying her world, Spira. She was a summoner set to destroy the monster Sin, at the cost of her life, and give her world peace for a few short years. The summoners would go on a pilgrimage to pray at every temple in Spira. In doing so they would obtain the power of great entities called Aeons. These Aeons were the key to defeating Sin. They were the souls of people, trapped in statutes, that sacrificed themselves to become eternal sources of power; life never ending. Over the course of a thousand years they yearned for death.
Her journey began with her meeting a boy named Tidus, he was from a dream summoned by the the faith that summoned the creature known as Sin. Of course at the time no one knew this and she greeted him with open arms. Over the course of their journey Yuna felt love towards Tidus but with her path set and so she couldn't say anything to him about it.
Once she reached the end of her pilgrimage, Yuna discovering that her sacrifice was meanless and that Sin will always return. Yuna found the soul of lady Yunalesca who was the greatest Summoner from the time that Sin was first born a thousand years ago at the end of her journey. Lady Yunalesca would take the soul from a close friend or lover and turn them into the Final Aeon for Yuna to summon. The Final Aeon was what would defeat Sin due to the power formed from the bound between two people. Lady Yunalesca said that Sin was eternal and even if Yuna sacrificed herself Sin would return. The dead summoner was met with force from Yuna and her guardians. They destroy the method that caused these sacrifices and instead fought Sin head on.
Bahamut saw the potential in Yuna and pleaded with her to end their suffering and kill them. Sin was reborn by taking over the soul of the Aeon that it fought. A creature known as Yu Yevon controlled Sin and programed his basic destructive traits. In order to fight Yu Yevon, Yuna fought each one of her Aeon's, freeing them from their bounds. Yuna lost many friends and by her own hands. Once Sin was defeated she discovered that Tidus had another secret and he was dream created by the faith who summoned Sin because Sin was gone he vanished as well.
Two years later she is revered as the high summoner who defeated Sin for good and the world was noticeably changing around her. After feeling lost in these changes she became a sphere hunter to find her purpose in life. Her cousin whisks her away from her home , using a sphere that contains the picture of a boy who looks like Tidus, and is determined to help her find her lost love who disappeared after the battle with Sin.
As they travel Yuna realizes that her search wasn't for Tidus but for a path for her own life. She runs into Baralai, Nooj and Gipple who have created names for themselves in Spira during these new times. Together with Paine and Rikku, they discover the doomsday machine known as Vegnagun. The spirit known as Shuyin, who was the figure in the video/sphere, has possessed Baralai and seeks to use the machine to destroy all of Spira.
Once again Yuna and her friends save the world, this time from a horrible death machine known as Vegnagun. After this she has come to terms with her loss two years prior and decides to live her life as she wants to, always facing the sun and smiling.
She was then taken and brought to Ruby City. She never found out why but the city's goal was to torment those it brought into its grasps, causing Yuna to relive through her worst memories. She has seen torture and darkness up close like nothing she has experienced before in life.
Baralai had also shown up in the city and together they began to work through their complicated past until he vanished.
Character's personality:
After losing her mother and father at a young age Yuna had to fend for herself. She took the weight of the world on her young shoulders and decided that she would be its salvation like her father before her. She was always stubborn, picking a path that she believes in and following it to the end.
She hides her struggles from those that she cares about so they dont worry. Even when she was a child it seemed like everyone around her worried. To counter their worry Yuna became strong willed and confident to show them that she could do it. However, Yuna would bares her soul to the world. She is very open with her emotions and even when she does try to hide them, she is transparent.
Yunas inner strength is immeasurable; during her journey she was kidnapped, betrayed, used and had the whole world hunting her but still focused on saving everyone.
She has lost her faith in people as a whole but believes that each person can make a difference and hopes that they choose too. She wants to explore and have fun more than be the leader that he home is looking for. She gets annoyed when people turn to her before trying to solve their own problems. She no longer wants heavy responsibility; just to be free and to make her own choices in life. She wants to live life just following her heart. She lost so much saving the world that she doesn't want to have to keep losing things to help it. Still she will help those in need, causing her constant frustration.
Yuna is able to adjust to strange situations easily and tries to pick up on cues from others. She is wild, athletic and outspoken but also knows when its wiser to just not say anything at all. She will often jump head first into danger without thinking about herself first and will often get hurt because of it. Even so she will always keep smiling.
After the fight with Sin, her cousin Rikku becomes a role model teaching Yuna to be more eccentric. Yuna holds her friends and family very close because of how close of a relationship she has with Rikku. She becomes interested in the machines the Al-Bhed use as well as their language, and starts to have an appreciation for things that she doesn't understand. She starts to question everything wanting to learn more about the world she lives in.
Tidus and Yuna traveled for a long time together and over her journey became very close, because of his influence Yuna slowly became more curious, courageous and forward about the world around her. He was from a different place and questioned things that she had lived with her whole life with and never thought about. She began to question everything. However after his disappearance she developed a deep fear of losing the people in her life or being forgotten.
She is often teased for being a pushover, however she cannot refuse a call for help, and can be stern, even intimidating when angered. Taking after traits from her lost love Tidus, she loathes the idea of sacrificing in the name of victory, and has been instilled with the desire to never let herself be used by anyone again.
Yuna is a very good singer and not shy in front of a crowd. Usually it takes a special occasion for her to sing but it is something she enjoys doing. After Sin was defeated she was suddenly able to have these hobbies. She quickly took up blitzball and can hold her breath for 7 min. She started playing blitzball because of the joy she got from watching Tidus, Wakka, and Chappu play. There was no one for her to watch anymore so she took up the challenge.
Her new clothing suggests promiscuity; Yuna doesn't overly flaunt her body or really pay any attention to the fact that she isn't wearing much. She isn't oblivious to perverse intentions. When she realizes that someone is flirting she gets flustered and turns red. Yuna treats everyone equally and will defend anyone who appears to need it. Nothing beats her resolve to help others.
Ruby City
Since waking up in Ruby City Yuna has experienced many changes. Her new experiences with time travel, technology, space and death has formed her into a new person.
Yuna is a lot more clever than she was before, after studying and working with Jane on various projects. Her sense of technology has grown as well as the way she approaches situations, she is a lot more logical in her thoughts because she has learned this new way of thinking. This thinking has helped her control and adapt her powers for things like powering technology without over loading it and access data within systems. Her new logical way of thinking helps her to learn these new skills, like making coffee as well as increasing her baking skills. She has learned to experiment and though it doesn’t always go well, she will always give it a try. This also shows her fearless attitude. In canon she isn’t afraid of death but she was always afraid of failure. Now that she has experienced this new way of approaching things that fear is no longer prevalent.
Another new trait is her desire to fly. Within the canon Yuna enjoys her new freedom and break from responsibility but after she is taken into the sky she can’t get the feeling out of her system. She uses any excuse to have her friends fly her around. Loki and Thor filled her head with stories and nonsense of the sky, stars and other worlds. It gave her insight into her own magic as well as her place in the world around her.
Yuna has always been curious due to Tidus’s influence, but since then that curiosity has grown to an impulsive dangerous level. She will always ask questions and try to get answers from people, even if she knows it’s pushing them too far. She doesn’t hold back in her actions or in her words, she is blunt to the point of almost being mean. This new persistence occurred do to the difficult people that she met in Ruby City and she knows that it is for the greater good, even if it’s painful now.
Though if people question her actions she will get defensive and try to explain that they are wrong in their assessment.
She also very perceptive, in the game she was always able to understand people but she wasn’t very good at reading them. Since her experience with different people on a more individual level has opened her up to the subtly of speech. When in Spira she saw people more on a massive scale, she knows people are individuals but she rarely remembered them. Since meeting so many different people her mind set has changed and she now sees people on a more individual bases.
Yuna is also very cynical, after learning about the fate of all worlds and peoples need for destruction. All the endless cycles that lead to more death and pain, her usually overly hopeful personality has diminished into something more cynical and realistic. She will always have hope but she now expects the worst when approaching situations with people. She sees the world as it is and not how she wants it to be.
She doesn’t worry about things as much as she used too, she will still try to help when she can but she hopes that things will sort themselves out. So many things can happen that she doesn’t want to spend her time worrying about all of them. She is happy not being home as long as she is able to hold onto those closest to her. She doesn’t morn the missing or dead but instead remembers them so that they are never truly gone. In this sense she also doesn’t really plan a head and when she tries to, she gets tired of over thinking things.
Yuna is also very uncomfortable feeling trapped in large crowds of people.
Abilities:
Summoner: She currently doesnt have access to her summons because their spirits are locked in the farplane. Still Yuna can make contracts with spirits and summon them to her aid. The summons takes a form that is a physical representation of their power and their inner personalities. She can also see and communicate with the dead.
Sending: Yuna is able to pull souls out of dead bodies (even if they are still moving around) and send them to their place of rest. In her world it is called the farplane; in others it’s called hell. She gives the spirits the power to transcend physical boundaries and portal to their resting place.
Dresspheres:
By accessing the garment grid Yuna is able to amplify her powers and summon new abilities to her aid. She is better at some dressspheres than others and some are just useless outfits she summons. It is all done by summoning items and powers from spheres that are set in the garment grid.
(Yuna has now mastered: Gunner, White Mage, Thief, Black Mage, Warrior, Songstress, Gun Mage, and Festivalist)
White Mage- Yuna summons a rod to her aid and is able to amplify her already proficient ability to use white magic spells. These are the spells that she has studied through her journey and is most proficient in them.
Gunner- Yuna summons two twin bee pistols and is able to increase her aim. She is often using this sphere as a way to distance herself from her past as a summoner. It makes her feel that she has a new journey and gives her that extra confidence.
Songstress- Yuna summons a microphone and is known for dancing and singing. This sphere puts her emotions into her song so it can affect a crowd. It can be used in combat as well as a nice fun way to rise others spirits.
Warrior- Summoning a sword to her side, Yuna uses this dressphere to emulate her lost loves abilities. She is quick but it has weaker attacks. Her abilities in this sphere are limited. Its a sphere she doesnt use often but still she finds strength in her sword.
Thief- Equipped with two small blades Yuna gains the ability to steal things from monsters as well as use unusual combat items. Her speed is increased dramatically. She is even able to attack twice as fast as normal.
Black Mage- Again summoning a stave/rod to her side Yuna is able to tap into her old sisters powers and use the devastating black magic abilities. Her skills still need to improve but she is able to use simple magic spells as well as boost magical abilities.
Moogle- This dresssphere has amazing potential but Yuna doesnt know how to use it. Yuna is forced to use this as a disguise and is stuck with it. Its only ability is to look like a very large Moogle.
Gun Mage- Using her magical gun and abilities to harm specific types of enemies as well as learning monsters abilities.
Alchemist- Yuna uses a gun to shot and then uses her skills to either mix items or create them.
Dark knight- She wears heavy dark armor and is able to use her own life, HP, to use darkness to injure her targets.
Samurai- Using Aurons sword Yuna has the skills of a samurai as well as the dress and focus of one.
Lady luck- Yuna wears a skimpy outfit with a hand of cards. Using luck and chance she is able to hurt her enemies though there is always a chance it could back fire.
Berserker- Yuna takes the form of an animal and is able to focus on attacking around the targets armor. She also has the ability to dodge and counter non-magical attacks.
Psychic- She adorns a uniform and obtains psychic powers including the ability to fly.
Trainer- Her bear runs to her side and she uses her abilities to command him to attack her targets. He is a cute bear.
Moogle- This dressphere can now be used in combat. It is one of the most powerful spheres but it is embarrassing and takes a lot of time to master.
Festivalist- This is a kimono where Yuna uses skills, including fireworks, to hurt her enemy. It’s a beautiful but deadly show.
Floral Fallal- This is Yunas final sphere. It takes longer for her to transform into it but her power is increased tenfold. Her hair turns white and a flower surrounds her.
Bathing suit- This doesn't do anything but she has a pink and cream halter bikini bathing suit stored in her dresssphere. It does nothing except look really cute
Caius has also taught her power over the Chaos, she can currently teleport and sense things.
Any special equipment your character is bringing along?: Yuna carries her sphere grid which gives her access to most of her powers.
Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them? I enjoy playing Yuna in a space setting. She is the kind of character that is easily influenced and tries to make friends with others. She loves exploring and can't wait to discover more about more worlds.
What is your character's greatest flaw? Gullible and stubborn
Describe your character's family (whether family by blood or by choice). How does your character feel about them? What did your character learn from them? Yuna's family is dead. She has collected people she considers family over the years and values them greatly. She listens to their guidance but doesn't always follow it.
What hobbies does your character have? Yuna enjoys having a domestic life, other than that she likes to explore.
Your character wakes up in the middle of the night in panic from a nightmare. What was the nightmare? Something about her past where she had felt like she wasn't in control. She is tired of being controlled by others.

Berserker- Yuna takes the form of an animal and is able to focus on attacking around the targets armor. She also has the ability to dodge and counter non-magical attacks.
Psychic- She adorns a uniform and obtains psychic powers including the ability to fly.
Trainer- Her bear runs to her side and she uses her abilities to command him to attack her targets. He is a cute bear.
Moogle- This dressphere can now be used in combat. It is one of the most powerful spheres but it is embarrassing and takes a lot of time to master.
Festivalist- This is a kimono where Yuna uses skills, including fireworks, to hurt her enemy. It’s a beautiful but deadly show.
Floral Fallal- This is Yunas final sphere. It takes longer for her to transform into it but her power is increased tenfold. Her hair turns white and a flower surrounds her.
Bathing suit- This doesn't do anything but she has a pink and cream halter bikini bathing suit stored in her dresssphere. It does nothing except look really cute
Caius has also taught her power over the Chaos, she can currently teleport and sense things.
Any special equipment your character is bringing along?: Yuna carries her sphere grid which gives her access to most of her powers.
Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them? I enjoy playing Yuna in a space setting. She is the kind of character that is easily influenced and tries to make friends with others. She loves exploring and can't wait to discover more about more worlds.
What is your character's greatest flaw? Gullible and stubborn
Describe your character's family (whether family by blood or by choice). How does your character feel about them? What did your character learn from them? Yuna's family is dead. She has collected people she considers family over the years and values them greatly. She listens to their guidance but doesn't always follow it.
What hobbies does your character have? Yuna enjoys having a domestic life, other than that she likes to explore.
Your character wakes up in the middle of the night in panic from a nightmare. What was the nightmare? Something about her past where she had felt like she wasn't in control. She is tired of being controlled by others.
